Only after 70 years had passed did the couple decide to commemorate their wedding anniversary in an unusual manner.

Their granddaughter is a wedding photographer, and she offered to hold a photo shoot for her grandparents that they were unable to do for their wedding.

This opportunity made the couple very happy. Melvin donned his military uniform, and Nancy donned her wedding gown, which she carefully guarded.

As you can see from the photos, they both enjoyed the shoot; they smiled constantly and looked at each other with the same tenderness that they did back then.

The photographs were taken in their home’s garden.

The photos show that they really appreciate the years spent together.

Nancy’s wedding dress was in excellent condition, and the old woman looked amazing in it.

“I kept my dress for many years because it was special to me.

I loved it.

It was very nice to put it on again and remember the wedding day and take pictures,” the woman shared.

“I am honored to be her husband,” Melvin said.

Melvin really liked the photo shoot.

When he saw his wife in her wedding dress, the memories came flooding back instantly.

The couple had five children, 12 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
