After trying for years without success, becoming a parent is a joy like no other. Drew Scott and his wife Linda Phan are overjoyed to have their first child after being disappointed for years.

Andrew Alfred Scott, who is better known by his nickname “Drew Scott,” is well-known because he is a Canadian reality TV star. As the name of the show, “Property Brothers,” suggests, he and his brother Jonathan Scott are the main stars.

The show is about fixing up houses, and he plays a real estate agent, while his brother plays a contractor.

Drew has talked a lot about the first time he met his wife. He says that he knew Linda Phan was the one when he saw her eating a big slice of pizza for the first time.

Drew remembers the first time he spoke to the woman who is now his wife. He said about the meeting, “I walked up to her [Phan] and asked, ‘Where can I get a drink of water?’”

Soon, he took Phan to meet his twin brother and co-star Jonathon, who is also his twin, and Pedro, who was their best friend in high school. Jonathon was impressed right away and told Drew that his girlfriend was a good one.

As for how Phan remembers their first meeting, she says, “My sister and I were backstage looking for pizza and drinking water when Drew came up to me and asked, “Hey, where’d you get that water?”

After meeting for the first time a few months earlier, the couple finally went on what they call “the longest first date in history.” Dinner was at a sushi place, hot chocolate was at a cafe, and then there was a karaoke party that Drew wasn’t even invited to at first.

Drew sang beautifully at the party, and the two of them sang a few duets well into the night.

Drew didn’t know he had a romantic side until he met Phan. In fact, he said that he was always single and focused on his work and interests.

But when he met his wife, everything changed because she made him feel romantic. “But out of the blue, when I wasn’t looking for it, Linda came into my life and caught me off guard. I have to say that Linda showed me what love is all about. He said, “Linda made me show a side of myself I didn’t even know was there.”

In December 2016, he finally asked Linda to marry him by popping the question. He said later that he had been carrying the ring around for weeks because he didn’t want Linda to find it by accident.

He made the ring on his own. The ring was made especially for his fiancee. It was a 1.2-carat brilliant round-cut solitaire with a swirly setting.

He said about the ring, “Linda doesn’t wear rings very often, and when she does, they are usually small, simple, and classy because she is so small. I wanted to make a stylish ring, so I added a swirl solitaire mount with four prongs to the 14-karat white gold ring.

Drew flew to New York to record “Marry Me,” a popular song by the band Train that is often used to ask someone to marry them. He played it while he and Phan were eating dinner. Later, he planned an engagement party that was a surprise to everyone.

Phan works as a creative director for Scott Brothers Entertainment and looks at many projects for their media company. He is also part of the family business.

The couple had a big, fancy wedding in Italy, but it turned out they were already married in Nashville, Tennessee. They talk about how funny it was that the justice of the peace came to their private wedding and they got married in a hot tub. And instead of giving each other rings, they gave each other burgers!

After getting married, the couple was excited about the next part of their lives: having kids. Drew even said, “We’re happy to be having children. I think Linda and I will be great parents, and we’re excited to start that part of our lives.”

The couple even made room in their Los Angeles home for any children they might have in the future. But after trying for two years, they thought maybe something was wrong. They went to a doctor to find out what was going on.

Their tests showed that Phan had a thyroid problem that was making it hard for her to get pregnant. She started getting treatment for her illness, and the couple also tried to find other couples who were going through the same things. They even talked about how they would be willing to adopt a child if they didn’t get pregnant.

But in August 2021, they got news that changed their lives. They learned that they were going to have a baby. The excited dad shared the news on social media with a picture of his wife’s baby bump.

The happy parents-to-be thanked everyone who helped them, especially the medical staff. Drew wrote in the caption, “Getting here has been quite an adventure!” We know we’re not the only ones going through this, and that everyone faces different problems along the way.

The couple told their fans about the birth of their son on May 4, 2022, on their podcast called “At Home.” They were happy to share their news with their fans. They said that their son’s name is Parker James Scott.

The baby, who weighed 8 pounds and 1.8 ounces, was born on the fourth anniversary of his parents’ marriage. The couple can’t believe how happy they are.

Drew said on his podcast that he was trying to put his family first now that he had a son. He said, “I think that having a child changes some things about who you are. I still love what I do and love helping other families, but a big part of me will be here for Parker.”
