A grandmother was delighted when her daughter and granddaughter gave her the sweetest surprise she could imagine.

Grandma was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Church and had fond memories of it. He got married there and also attended his daughter’s wedding there. But it was devastating for her to know they were taking it down, and she felt like she was going to lose something so dear to her heart.

His family was aware of this and decided to permanently dedicate a part of that church to him as a memorial. So her daughter and granddaughter acquired a bench before it was thrown away and had it remade by a neighbor who brought it back to life.

They videotaped his reaction the day he was presented with the bench. The tears in his eyes and expressions say it all.
