The audience had a thrilling night at the “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” show, which brought together the best and most popular acts from all of the “Got Talent” franchises around the world from all of the past seasons.
When one of “Britain’s Got Talent’s” all-time favorite performers took the stage, the crowd went wild and stood on their feet to give the artist a warm welcome. Susan Boyle was the name of the artist.
Susan Boyle was the unexpected outsider in Season 3 of American Idol in 2009. She became a big star almost overnight. She kept going and won second place that year. Since then, her amazing talent has led to a great career as a recording artist. She has sold more than 20 million records, and many regular people have been encouraged by her to follow their dreams.
Susan Boyle said in an interview that her life had changed a lot since her debut in 2009. She said, “I see myself as a fighter for people who don’t have a voice. To get them excited.”
When asked about her planned appearance on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” Boyle said, “This time I’ve got something to prove. I really want to win.”
Susan started singing “Wild Horses” by the Rolling Stones after Simon Cowell welcomed her to “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” Boyle looked beautiful in an elegant dress and her hair was perfectly styled. She had a calm confidence that she didn’t have in 2009.
Susan sang the haunting song with just a piano and did it better than I have ever heard it done before. At first, everyone in the stadium was quiet, but before she was done, people started to cheer. At the end of the performance, Boyle got a standing ovation from the judges and the wildly applauding crowd.
The singer got high marks from all of the judges. “I couldn’t be happier that you’re here tonight,” said Simon Cowell. “You are what this show is,” Howie Mandel told Boyle. Mel B said, “It’s such an honor to be here and hear your angelic voice.” She was so moved by the performance that she hit the golden buzzer to send Boyle straight to the semi-finals.
Terry Crews, the show’s host, asked, “How do you feel?” The little Scottish singer answered in a sweet, small voice, “Very happy and very humble.” Definitely a lady with class.
